Long-term corrosion protection CIMGUARD® 40

Cimguard 40 is a high-quality, oil-based corrosion protection liquid for ferrous and non-ferrous metal parts during indoor and outdoor storage.
When applied to parts, it leaves a soft, oily, water-repellent film that can be removed with a solvent or alkaline cleaner.

Application
Depending on the application conditions, Cimguard 40 will provide corrosion protection for up to 18 months when stored outdoors. Cimguard 40 can be applied by immersion, spray or brush. It is practically recommended to use the method of full immersion, which will ensure full coverage of the parts.

Cimguard 40 is an ideal choice for:
• For air storage of processed parts or raw materials
• Milling and casting
• To protect parts during sea transportation
• Protection of parts at risk of bimetallic corrosion

Cimguard 40 can also be used in dissolved form. The product should be dissolved in low-viscosity oils, white spirits or solvents based on mineral oil. The term of corrosion protection will decrease according to the % dissolution. After application, it is necessary to allow the solvent to completely evaporate before further transportation of the parts. Drying time can be significantly reduced at high temperatures or in the case of increased air circulation. Cimguard 40 does not dry out from water, so it is recommended that all water be removed from corrosion protection parts before application.
