VSM, the manufacturer of abrasive materials, has expanded its product range and introduced new versions of abrasives for fiber discs in the ACTIROX series: AF890 and AF799, which have additional grain options. Fiber discs are now available in 60+ and 80+ grit versions, as well as the already popular 36+ grit version.
During welding, the task of grinding inevitably arises. This is because the preparation for the weld seam and its subsequent processing are important for obtaining a high-quality joint. Abrasive materials are used to clean the areas to be welded, to remove chamfers and to level the weld seam. The requirements for the tool are therefore very high: it must be suitable for processing large volumes with consistently high quality, to recover a lot of metal and to match the properties of the material being processed. This means, for example, no run marks on heat-sensitive materials and, at the same time, reliable processing of difficult-to-reach alloys.
The new three-dimensional granulate COMPACTGRAIN Plus is the latest innovation in the range of compact grain abrasives. A durable abrasive with a continuous self-sharpening effect, reducing grinding costs by reducing production cycles. More uniform, consistent and complete grinding of the granulate, which is expressed in a more homogeneous texture and more stable surface roughness.
