VSM ACTIROX FIBER DISCS NOW AVAILABLE WITH REDUCED GRIT
VSM, the manufacturer of abrasive materials, has expanded its product range and introduced new versions of abrasives for fiber discs in the ACTIROX series: AF890 and AF799, which have additional grain options. Fiber discs are now available in 60+ and 80+ grit versions, as well as the already popular 36+ grit version.
Customers working in the field of metalworking and material processing have already been enjoying the benefits of ACTIROX technology since 2018. This technology uses a geometrically shaped ceramic grain that always creates new sharp corners during grinding. This allows you to automatically reduce friction and, accordingly, reduce the temperature in the processing area. ACTIROX abrasives provide faster cutting and maximum material collection, which allows you to reduce costs and significantly increase productivity.
Precise rough and detailed sanding with ACTIROX fiber discs
Abrasives are available in 36+, 60+ and 80+ grit versions, allowing for both rough stock removal and fine detail sanding. This eliminates the need for time-consuming tool replacement, subsequent processing stages and complex finishing.
The AF890 disc sets a new standard for metal removal and processing speed for special alloys and stainless steel. Thanks to the additional TOP SIZE coating, the fiber disc minimizes unwanted clouding and thermal deformation of the material. Maximum performance of the AF890 is achieved when used with high-speed angle grinders.
The use of the AF799 optimally expands the possibilities, as this fiber disc is extremely effective when machining stainless steel and aluminum. Chip removal is more efficient due to reduced adhesion.
Abrasive ceramic grain made in Germany
At the main factory of the company in Hanover, not only abrasives are produced, but also ceramic abrasive grains for both conventional abrasives with ceramic grain and for the new ACTIROX abrasives. This gives VSM the opportunity to be one of the few ceramic grain manufacturers in the world. In-house production of abrasive grain can solve many challenges for the performance of VSM abrasives, including high quality of the initial products and manufacturing processes.
ACTIROX: Increasing grinding performance
Practice has shown that ACTIROX abrasives perform grinding more efficiently than similar conventional abrasives and always provide high quality surface treatment. Thus, users get more material when working with abrasives of the specified grain size, while the surface remains smooth. This is an important advantage for the grinding process.
The AF890 and AF799 fiber discs are now available in 36+, 60+ and 80+ grit versions.
